Backed into the door? One panel. Not a whole new door.
Last updated April 23, 2026
A dented bottom panel or a cracked midsection doesn't mean a new door — if the rest of the sections are sound, we can order and replace just the damaged section. We match color, profile, and window layout against Clopay, Wayne Dalton, Amarr, CHI, Raynor, and most other manufacturers. Door back to matching-paint in a day.
What's included in this service?
- Single-panel and multi-panel replacement on sectional doors
- Color and wood-grain matching across major brands
- Window and inset-glass section matching
- Hinge, strut, and bracket transfer or replacement
- Track and roller inspection when a panel was damaged by impact
- Manufacturer warranty registration on the new panel
- Matching paint touch-up where factory color has faded
When do you need this service?
- Vehicle impact dented or cracked a single panel
- Water or sun damage on the bottom panel only (wood doors)
- Rust-through on the bottom panel from coastal air
- One panel is split or cracked from a cable-failure whip
- You'd rather not replace a 5-year-old door over one bad section
What do homeowners ask about Panels?
Can you really match my existing door color?
If the manufacturer is identifiable (there's usually a sticker on the inside of a panel or the track) and the color is still in the current catalog, yes — exact factory match. If the door is 15+ years old or the color has been discontinued, we order the closest current match and hand-paint to blend. Result is close enough that you usually won't see it from the street.
How long does the replacement panel take to arrive?
1 to 3 weeks depending on brand and whether the color is in stock. Clopay, Wayne Dalton, and Amarr usually ship from California distributors and land in 7 to 10 business days. Wood or custom-stained panels run 3 to 6 weeks. We quote lead time before you pay.
If two or three panels are damaged, is it still worth replacing just those?
Usually still yes, up to about 3 panels on a 4-panel door. Past that, material plus labor starts matching a new door install, and you're better off with a fresh door, new springs, and a fresh warranty. We'll price both for you.
Will the door need rebalancing after the swap?
A single panel rarely changes the door weight enough to matter, and the springs don't need to be re-tensioned. On doors where we're swapping 2+ panels or going from non-insulated to insulated, yes — we re-test balance and adjust springs if needed. It's part of the quote.

Homeowners who hired us for this
Called at 7:30 a.m. when I heard the bang — broken torsion spring, car trapped inside. A tech was in the driveway by 9:15 with a matched pair ready to install. Flat-rate quote before he started, done in under an hour. Felt like the old days of someone actually showing up.
Got three quotes for a new door after ours gave out. Lift Pro was the only one that talked about the HOA committee requirements up front and offered a wood-grain steel that got approved on the first try. Installed in one day, clean work, hauled the old one off.
Old chain-drive opener was louder than my teenagers. They pulled it, installed a quiet belt-drive LiftMaster with Wi-Fi, and walked me through the app before leaving. It closes itself now when I drive away. Crew was on time and actually picked up their packaging.
